Bed for Three
Wow I was honestly prepared to leave this a SHINING review—then it just cut off randomly. To say I was caught entirely off guard is an understatement. Now I understand the reason it’s rated as it is. What a goddamn disappointment. I was slurrrrping this up, loving every moment of it. The part is cuts off at (or ends
Kozure Omega to Boukun Yakuza
I love this so much! There’s so many elements that set it apart from other omegaverse, Yaoi, smutty stories! I especially love the representation of a divorcee, a single parent, and family/relationship dynamics when one of the parties has a child from a previous relationship. This is so precious!!!!
Killing Stalking
Honestly I’m… speechless. This was really really good. Props to the author. The art is amazing as well and really sets the mood. The two main characters, one looks disheveled, tiny and like a starved child (even though he’s the older one) and the other is tall, built and handsome. There are ‘romantic’ parts but because of the context, as well as their extremely different appearances, it’s still very uncomfortable. Which I think was done purposefully, as it adds to the twisted feeling of this story. Your humanity will make you feel bad for both characters at times, and even makes you wish they could have a normal romantic relationship. But their relationship is far from normal, and even in the end it’s hard to say for sure what they felt for each other. Was it truly love? Especially on Sangwoos end. Or was it solely just twisted? I loved every minute of this because of the discomfort and conflicting feelings, which is exactly why the author did so well with this.
Mad Dog
Honestly I had expected to give this 5 ️s because I felt it was unique, interesting, a little twisted/dark, and the plot was well developed. There is noticeable, well paced, character development which I felt made this story high quality and strong. My reason for giving it 2️ is because the ending was extremely random and abrupt. It literally ends right when one character discovers that the other intentionally put his life in danger to manipulate him into living together and staying closely by his side. This was an important realization since it shows the extent of the toxicity still needing to be outgrown and changed, even with the growth there had been. So for the story to just stop right at a conflict point of the relationship?… It was like the author just got tired of writing 3/4 of the way through and just decided to write ‘the end’ after the last page they had worked on. Not to mention that there’s a whole backstory of essentially obsession and stalking that never surfaced in the relationship, leaving a large, important, and inevitable conflict. Bad way to leave a story.
Osananajimi ja Gaman Dekinai
I feel like I have super high standards for manga, especially romance/BL ones because they often seem to be amateurly written (lacking in flow, pacing, character development, structure, depth, etc). Anyways, I’m usually left feeling dissatisfied, even if it’s just with the ending, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one! It’s such a cute story and I never felt like anything was lacking. The ending also seemed very natural rather than rushed or misplaced, so I felt content when realizing there wasn’t any pages left! The characters are both very ‘soft’ and feminine, which I also adored since I seldom see that pairing in BL. It was just TOO STINKIN CUTE AND ROMANTIC!
Vanilla soda sky
I wouldn’t consider this smut tbh, so don’t expect anything super steamy. I wish the sex scenes were longer than they are but they’re def pg-13 instead of R lol so they only give clips here and there. Other than that (which was an expectation problem, not an actual problem with the story), I LOVED it! :) however… I need an update about the kid that was bullied, is he OKAY?! poor kid seemed suicidal asf and then lost the only support system he had.
My Suha
Okay all in all, I LOVE this whole ass story. You can easily tell the author put sooo much work into it. The storyline, and the art, is phenomenal. There are tons of panels that could’ve been made much simpler art-wise, such as scenes with pigmented, gorgeous sunset skies when they could’ve just been made the typical blue or whatnot. So you can tell the love and dedication that has gone into this. It shows, it shows! But WOW THE SIDE STORRRIESSS? UGHHHHHH. STOP. I better see a whole ass storyline play out with Do-Hyeok and Seo being endgame. Of course Do-Hyeok was suchhh a f-upped villain, but Seo really pulled the wounded child out of Do-Hyeok, and enlightened him to what it was really like for those that had been hurt by him. So… even with his past, I think they’re good for each other and will help each other grow. Obviously I’d be expecting a hella deep ass apology to Suha from Do-Hyeok first… but man I really hope we get a happy ending for this villain.
Dawn of the Dragon
All I’m saying is… this better have a good ending I’m so on edge about the “consequences” that’ll come as the price to pay for the dragon derailing a predetermined fate. I hope it’s nothing too bad, they just deserve to be happy!
