this mc isn’t like the other transmigrated mcs. she isn’t that nice and she doesn’t treat everyone kindly. the ml doesn’t fall for her when she treats the knights fairly or gracefully walks into the room with fancy clothes. she uses tricks to win the competition to become the weapons advisor, and she attended the banquet in shabby clothes. she curses up a storm and the ml goes Σ(///･—･///). also, it’s so obvious that the grand duke is a snake. and i want kai to realize how much of a sis-con he is. he and alicia have such a relatable dynamic.

yeong looks so cute and pure but really he just wants some dick lmaoo. and nohae looks like he’s experienced/thirsty but he really wants some fluff.

i really really love this manga. i love the character development and how it’ll suddenly get serious out of no where. kaguya and ishigami are definitely my two favorite characters. their relationship developed from him being scared of her, to the two of them actively searching the other out for help. and iino and shirogane’s friendship truly blossomed from their original awkward phase. there really isn’t a recurring character you can hate, unless you count kaguya’s family. her and shirogane’s relationship is so so cute, and i love them as a couple.

KOMI-SANNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!! i love her i love her i love her!!! i kind of miss her old group of friends but i guess her second year group is okay too :/ manbagi is fine :/ even when she didn’t have a crush on tadano i had an okay opinion of her. PRETTY MUCH EVERYONE IN THIS MANGA IS LGBT+????? like deadass. AND there was a kaguya-sama reference uwu i love this manga.

i saw the novel around but didn’t look too much into it. young girl who wants to be a pharmacist and is a little too passionate about poisons works in the imperial palace. all the characters are interesting, there are male/female friendships, solid female friendships, and a lot of mysteries to solve. most of the mysteries are easy to follow, and i don’t mean that in a “they’re predictable and boring” way, but you can figure out the gist of the situation while they’re laying out the evidence for other people, you know? in most mysteries, you don’t really get what’s happening until they fully explain it to their audience (at least, in my experience. they’re showing off their discoveries but they keep adding new ones they investigated off screen and you’re like “ohh okay. when did that happen?”) but in this manga, as you see them uncover pieces of the truth, you can figure it out with the characters. like i could understand that jinshi was a prince, but i didn’t know he was the emperor’s son until a later chapter. a lot of things are connected and it’s amazing. mao mao best girl.

there are really good female centered friendships, fun believable romance, scenes of friends just hanging out, the side characters get some focus sometimes, and most misunderstandings don’t draw out too long. also, even if the ML and FL end up together, they still have a solid friendship. it’s good. i kinda wish corey beat the shit out of sam herself but she wasn’t able to overpower everyone with her sister on the line so... i wasn’t really satisfied with the ending but i’m gonna let it slide because the rest of it was so good.
