m_yin's manga / #nice nice nice(117)

kind of generic shonen but it has its own twists to make it its own. ichikawa leno and shinomiya kikoru are two of my favorite characters at the moment, with hibino kafka and iharu coming in second. i do have to say though, i’m digging the lack of deaths. sure, kikoru’s parents are dead, but compared to the brutal numbers other mangas are racking up, this is sweet. though it may seem like the stakes aren’t very high, i enjoy the lack of heartbreak lmao 06/23/2022 ——————— i take it back my favorites are hoshina soushirou, shinomiya kikoru, and ichikawa leno. iharu’s still my runner-up!! god, i’m at chapter 97 and it’s gotten better. the current arc is kind of repetitive tho, but that’s to be expected when the kaiju are made with shinomiya isao’s memories of them. still, i’m hoping for a bit of change in the upcoming chapters. 11/10/2023

oh a world hopping bl that’s actually super interesting. the main cp is so fucked up i love it. currently (ch 105) on arc 3 (alien life-form x researcher), but arc 2 (zombies) is my favorite so far. i LOVE how the female leads aren’t treated like garbage and have their own lives. i especially love how the mc (wang yi) has a reason other than “uuhhhh my family and old way of living” to get back to his og (that we know of) world. i love his loyalty to his friends and the crushing guilt he felt when he believed he caused their deaths. i LOVE his childhood friend, bai mo, and am so so so disappointed that she won’t feature more heavily later on.

sick girl switches bodies w a suicidal girl. bruh this was really good. ngl i liked the first half better than the second, it felt kind of rushed, but honestly i think it wrapped up nicely. VERTA….. THE WOMAN THAT YOU ARE….. A TRUE VILLAINESS. something i didn’t like was how the other women were spoken abt, but even if verta was not a true friend to rosalie and julie and thought they were annoying i really liked them especially julie she was so endearing to me, and it was nice to see a non-stick thin woman drawn cutely. blaine and verta…. so sick and twisted i love them. prince van was nice too, loved how he respected their relationship. i kind of was rooting for him more but i do understand that blaine was the one who understood verta the most (bar yersha, the prince who switched verta and rita). the sex was so unexpected to me like YEAH i remember her butler eating her out in the beginning but the sex scenes in the latter half were so random they were funny. very serious chapter where verta is ruining someone’s life and then two panels later she’s being bent over a table i was dying lmaoo. the cover is deceiving tho prince van BARELY has romantic scenes w verta. solid 4/5 overall but 5/5 in this moment bc i was so entertained.
