tbh i only like akimoto, his childhood friend, the twins, and yoshida. i get that it’s a manga and it shouldn’t be taken seriously, but satou annoyed me so much. he says that yoshida is really cute and that he really likes him, but never stands up for him unless he’s jealous. the girls literally call him names and do all these things to yoshida in front of satou, and he’s just like “haha yeah his face is adorable.”

i’m literally in love with yunifer but ishid is hot too. what a good day to be bisexual. anyways, i’m so so curious about why rael and ishid seem to dislike each other. what’s different from what happened in the original book? and i wonder if rael is going to end up as the villain or if she’s going to be one of those “main girls who are actually NICE nice”. i hope she’s NICE nice. i don’t want her and yunifer to fight. the misunderstandings between them and the misunderstandings between yunifer and ishid should be cleared up soon!!!!

i saw the novel around but didn’t look too much into it. young girl who wants to be a pharmacist and is a little too passionate about poisons works in the imperial palace. all the characters are interesting, there are male/female friendships, solid female friendships, and a lot of mysteries to solve. most of the mysteries are easy to follow, and i don’t mean that in a “they’re predictable and boring” way, but you can figure out the gist of the situation while they’re laying out the evidence for other people, you know? in most mysteries, you don’t really get what’s happening until they fully explain it to their audience (at least, in my experience. they’re showing off their discoveries but they keep adding new ones they investigated off screen and you’re like “ohh okay. when did that happen?”) but in this manga, as you see them uncover pieces of the truth, you can figure it out with the characters. like i could understand that jinshi was a prince, but i didn’t know he was the emperor’s son until a later chapter. a lot of things are connected and it’s amazing. mao mao best girl.
