m_yin's manga / #adapted from novel(10)

i read the novel beforehand and, obviously, it’s better than the manhua. the story is simple, cute, and it’s an easy read. the manhua hasn’t been updated in a few months but the novel itself is already complete with a few extras.

THE MC IS SO BADASS I LOVE HER. i think it’s suspicious though, how the story is progressing. usually, in stories where the main character is super strong and unbeatable, there will come a time where they get beat and are humiliated. since the mc was badass from the start, i can’t help but think that that time will come soon. also i love how she makes the guy all flustered instead of it being the other way around. (10/23/2018) after reading many cn novels i have come to the understanding that there are many op mcs that always resolve problems and never get caught off guard too much so.... also after having a taste of better op mc novels i find this one a bit lacking. in most cn novels, conveniences are abundant, but in this one i think that the author could have done better. maybe it’s palatable in the novel but i’m not exactly jumping to read it anytime soon. the manga has a more comedic tone than the novel. it’s not anything bad, it’s just a little surprising. i hope violette ends up with yulan and not with the prince/king whatever. maryjun, as far as i can see from both the novel and the manga, is quite innocent. her father is a huge dick though, nothing can change my mind.

hhhhhh i really love reincarnated villainess stories. this one is a little different in that instead of trying to avoid the death route, mary faces it head on. it’s her goal. something else that isn’t usually seen in other villainess stories, is that mary has a confidant who is aware of her role. there’s maybe like one other manga/novel that i know of that has someone who knows of their reincarnation. i love how mary’s actions come off as tsundere instead of bad. it’s so cute.

IM SCREAMING IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG. the novel for this was my first otome villainess experience and will always have a special place in my heart.

actually pretty interesting set up. MC is a reincarnated author who actually isn’t the author. she’s somewhat of a prophet. so she’s quite knowledgeable about the world but also with politics. she was able to get rid of most of not all of the duchy’s debt and set up trade with others. not much to say. she kind of looks like raeliana.
