I’m only a year into my bl journey, but honey let me tell you…this is hands down my most favorite! I love me a morally grey character and Jaein understood the assignment. My first dominant omega…protecting his alpha. And then the alpha turning around and doing the same thing? And don’t even mention the body guards! Their character development unfolded nicely…but I’d love a side story with the main body guard. oh and the positions….those long legs…

This was a fun read. The art style was unique. This was the first sci-fi bl that I read so I was not prepared for tentacle monsters or the plot holes. But I love a good tan MC or MC with white hair. This had both. ️️️️

I binged this in 2 days. It felt very much like a will they won't they but it ended good. It was more like a smutty slice of life so I didn't have any clutching of my pearl moments. But I kept reading to find out if they'd get a happy ending. I didn't read the first side story bc the bottom was annoying and it seemed like his roomie was taking advantage of him (I'm sure there's an explanation but their storyline didn't interest me enough to care). But Mr. Boss' storyline - I couldn't wait to get to. And boy was I let down. I'm not into dark bdsm stuff. I don't like seeing characters I've grown fond of and have literally done nothing wrong be abused for literally no reason. I don't mind a good revenge plot but that poor kid was just existing. It seems like they're trying to give Boss a redemption arc, but he's trash in my book. Overall ️️️️

Spoilers ️ I love a good ending. I was really annoyed with the MC in the beginning. Like, dude, why are you being so mean? The alpha was so adorable and the other omega was a good friend. I'm also happy the boss didn't fire the MC. Buuut, I did feel like there were a lot of unnecessary sex scenes that weren't very exciting. Maybe the dialogue could have been better to make it more spicy. But they did it so frequently and often the same way, it just lost the pizzazz. The apron and knotting scenes were nice but that was like 2 out of like 50

RIP to the seme’s glasses. lol Sign is the first wholesome yaoi I’ve read. The uke was on the smaller side, but he stood up for himself. I really liked that he did this during sex as well. The seme was like a big teddy bear. So kind and caring. He was overprotective but it was for good reason and luckily it didn’t get toxic. The spicy scenes were cute and as the seasons progressed they had a little bdsm action.There were a few times were sex was used as punishment, but from my perspective it was consensual. The antagonist was the right amount of crazy so once he showed up it didn’t get super dark. We learned what happened and he got dealt with and we moved on. This could have been more twisted, but I’m happy with the resolution. My favorite part about this story was the seme’s bff! He was the perfect comedic relief, he called things as they were, and he was so freakin hot. I just feel that his story was rushed. I need the creator to make a side story or a spinoff or something, bc I need more. Overall, I thought the pacing could have slowed down a bit. The characters were so well developed and each served the plot well so well that I just wanted more. I was expecting a different ending, but I’m satisfied. This is definitely in my top 5 and now I’m on the hunt for more wholesome yaois, sassy bffs, small ukes that fight back, big teddy bear type semes, and characters with glasses. ️️️️️

I wanted to finish this so bad but my heart can't take it. I stopped twice because it got too dark for me. I'm needing something more wholesome at the moment. Maybe one day I'll revisit but right now I gotta make up my own happily ever after.
