Vol.1: After moving back to his hometown, Katsuyuki has started having trouble with a stalker. Ch. 1-4: Bird tengu Ouki saves injured dog tengu Kuro, who refuses to show Ouki his human form. One day, afraid of his attraction to and his nature as a harbinger of calamity, Kuro leaves Ouki. Miserable with Kuro gone, Ouki goes to look for him, but collapses and is saved by Kuro. While together, Kuro is enthralled by Ouki's scent and the two are finally able to share their love for each other. Ch. 5: After his parents moved overseas, clumsy Mariku has been living with his dependable cousin Riku. However while Mariku is trying to hide his feelings for Riku, Riku suddenly kisses Mariku in his sleep. Ch. 6: While in the middle of a heartbreak trip at a ryokan, Yuuhi is suddenly joined by broke backpacker Noboru, who repays the favor by acting as Yuuhi's lover.
