Discontinued by Publisher After his father's death, Yukimura is kicked out of his house for being the son of a mistress. With nowhere to go, Yukimura applies to get a job for serving tables at a resort, but instead of the fancy hotel restaurant he was thinking of, he becomes a nakai at a ryokan. He is trained by the strict and competent Ayukawa, who like all the other nakais, seems to have a story.

While at a hot spring for their 6 month anniversary, Leo's boyfriend refuses to anything lovey-dovey with him due to being worried about appearances. Ch. 1-4: Bird tengu Ouki saves injured dog tengu Kuro, who refuses to show Ouki his human form. One day, afraid of his attraction to and his nature as a harbinger of calamity, Kuro leaves Ouki. Miserable with Kuro gone, Ouki goes to look for him, but collapses and is saved by Kuro. While together, Kuro is enthralled by Ouki's scent and the two are finally able to share their love for each other. Ch. 5: After his parents moved overseas, clumsy Mariku has been living with his dependable cousin Riku. However while Mariku is trying to hide his feelings for Riku, Riku suddenly kisses Mariku in his sleep. Ch. 6: While in the middle of a heartbreak trip at a ryokan, Yuuhi is suddenly joined by broke backpacker Noboru, who repays the favor by acting as Yuuhi's lover.
