Stressed and struggling author Chiharu returns to his hometown and, while at the station waiting for his ride, helps a man that has collapsed from hunger, Rin, and has been waiting for his wife to show up. Later, Chiharu is attacked by boars and saved by Rin, who transforms into the dragon of the towns legend. Rin reveals Chiharu's beloved grandmother promised Chiharu to Rin as his bride in exchange for her own wish coming true.

After being assigned as a department head in his company, Nagasu has started to be harassed by the director, but is unable to quit due to debt. While escaping from the director one day, Nagasu happens upon a pet shop cafe. He immediately meets, and saves, the shop's owner Judo, a mysterious man who sells a variety of unique pets that always seem to perfectly match the customer's desires.
