Sadistic Beauty BL Sidestory

Complete | Lee Geumsan | 2000 released

This is one of those sequels/ side stories that make you sit and rethink your original impressions of a character. I understand what Cha Wookyung did was unforgivable, and that Minho didn't deserve any of it, but the progression of the story, and the ending especially, just "fit" right in the sense that the elements were there. Their psyches are clearly laid out, which didn't make me question why they did what they did. I already understood. However, this story could've been more if the Author attempted to change the course of their relationship and progressed the story even slightly differently so that it could've been far healthier than what we got, or even by showing changes in their dynamics with side chapters.

Walk on Water

Complete | Jaxx,Jang Mokdan | 2000 released

Yapping... Jaxx truly has to be one of the most talented people to ever step foot on this planet because my ass fucked this shit up 10 times already. Everything about this is beautiful: the writing, the art style, the progression of the story, the main characters, hell, even the side characters get the spotlight. The way they're written makes it impossible to forget them, and even now I remember all of their names. Ryan, for example, has been done so much justice. His character development, just like Ed and Creed's, is perfectly executed. It's shocking how well Jaxx wrote them in under 70 chapters, because many of the stories that I've read failed to achieve this level of writing in such little time. What I think really helped was the fact that their personalities, interests, motivations, and goals were all uncovered and explored throughout the story. This helps the reader understand what type of people they are, and gives them a foundation to make judgements based on, and how far they've come since the first chapter. This type of development makes the ending really stick to a person. It also made Chang and Ed's relationship, in particular, ruin me. I couldn't take the torture Ed had to go through after suffering at his hands for years. It was disgusting, but served as a clear reminder of how vile and far-gone Chang is. He is, and he was always undeserving of Ed's love and gratefulness for him. "Every moment with you feels like a miracle, like I'm walking on water" - Creed I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT THIS MASTERPIECE

Limited Run

Complete | Eeej | 2019 released

To put it simply: the ending was horrible, the grovelling wasn't nowhere close to what he deserved, and the character development went to SHIT. This has to be one of the most dissatisfying stories I've ever read.

Black Mirror

Complete | Muhwa,Wrist | 2000 released

Mania

Complete | Brothers Without a Tomorrow | 2000 released

Another mind-blowing masterpiece. Brothers Without a Tomorrow really out-did themselves with this because the delivery of Yeonjin and Mun-hyeok's story is absolutely heart-wrenching. The revenge plan that would've ended with Yeonjin's inevitable death went out of the window the second he brought Mun-heyok in, because there was no way he was going to let him die over something like that. They both saved each other from their pitiful lives, and the way they found each other after years just proves that there is no separating people that are destined to be together. Every tear Yeonjin shed made me choke up, and I almost died from the angst. Still, their love for each other fills me up with unbearable happiness. I'm glad that their pain and sacrifices paid off, and that they found what they were looking for within one another.
