He became a makeup artist to fulfill his promise he made to her at 5 - to be able to transform her. That was why he did it and he finally got to do that for her. 100/10 re-read! He fell for her in the very beginning and acknowledged his feelings for her in chapter 12 already. It took Elena a long time to fall for Johann, but his unrequited love became requited. They got married in the end, and their best friends also got together (Todd and princess Gillian).

10/10. Pretty dark, but also wholesome, romantic, and beautifully written and drawn. It's completed on cmoa.jp They had to commit suicide together to be able to be reborn once again, now both of them as humans. They'd be able to reunite at the time they start high school. This time around, they had all their memories from their past life, and could pick up their relationship. They are soulmates and star-crossed lovers, who are meant to be together no matter what lifetime they are in. They always have the same facial features and names. Their relationship and love for each other was so moving and just overt in the most beautiful way. I'm so glad they got their happy ending where they can live out a life where they will die together of old age, instead of her dying a lot earlier because she's human and he's a demon, who lives for thousands of years. There was no limit to what they would do for each other and to be able to stay together. It was really beautiful! The reason I didn't give it more than 10/10 is because it was just too dark and tragic for too much of it, as well as the end where they meet again in their new collective life is just too brief. I'd want to see them at least get married (that they did a time-skip page at the very least). Nonetheless, I loved it and will probably buy it as well as re-read it.

9/10 - the ending felt a bit too open. You didn't get to see them grow up and get married, and they left the future too open to interpretation; it seemed like it's possible that it will turn out bad eventually.
