The Role of the Villainess Is No More!
1000/10! Yukino was reborn in the body as Lefina, a duke's daughter. She made a pact with God to do so to save the life of her sister who was dying. She had to take on the role of a villainess to give the "child of God" a happy ending with Lefina's fiancé. Lefina had to be cruel to Dorothy, but every time she'd say or do something cruel, she'd wear a truly pained expression, which Dorothy noticed, leaving her confused as to whether Lefina actually meant and wanted to do what she did. Once Lefina and Prince Leon had their engagement annulled and he got engaged to Dorothy as well as Lefina was stripped of her title as a duchess (she wasn't exiled since she never physically harmed Dorothy), thrown out of her house and forced into working as a maid at the palace, she no longer had to act the part of a villainess. Lefina could now be herself. Everyone was shocked and bewildered by the sudden change of character, as she was now genuine, kind, caring, and remorseful, compared to previously having been consistently cruel, stuck-up, selfish, and condescending. Dorothy took Lefina aside and asked her about why she seemed not to have wanted to actually be cruel to Dorothy as well as her having overheard how Lefina had stood up for Dorothy to others in the past. Lefina said that she wanted to start by apologizing for her cruel past behavior and told Dorothy that she did so to be stripped of her role as a noble and that she actually never had any feelings for Prince Leon. She couldn't tell Dorothy the entire truth, but that was as much as she could say. It was the truth, just not the entire truth (far from it). Dorothy accepted Lefina's apology and recognized that it was sincere. She asked if they could be friends, which shocked Lefina since she had been so mean. But she agreed. They became dear friends. However, the knight, Wolf, was highly suspicious of Lefina, thinking that THIS was an act. He eventually found out that it wasn't by witnessing her acts of kindness and compassionate nature, owning up to and not excusing her past behavior, taking full responsibility. He eventually developed romantic feelings for her (before she fell for him), and one day when Lefina was brought out by the messenger of God, whom she had spoken to when she was first told about being born as Lefina to save her sister, to meet with said God and being told by him exactly WHY she was brought there and why she had to play that role, the messenger of God also told Wolf who was looking for Lefina about everything. He told Wolf about her life as Yukino, that she had played this cruel role to save her sister (that it was ALL for her sister), and that that was never her true personality. After all this, Wolf's feelings for Lefina only grew, and he told her that he would remember her as having lived the life of Yukino. She could finally be her true self with Wolf. Lefina and Wolf faced a lot of hardships - judgement, prejudice, misunderstandings, inner turmoil; but finally came to terms with their feelings and confessed. They got married in the end, being surrounded with everyone they loved - Lefina's family whom she had reconciled with, the men who raised Wolf, and their dear friends. This was a wonderful book; one of my favorites, which I will re-read.

Isekai Trip shitara Wakiyaku datta Ken
4.5/ The only problem is that she looks underage and he's sexually attracted to her. She's 21, so their relationship isn't wrong at all, but it's just the first mentioned fact that is a bit troubling.
In Her Fifth Life, the Villainess Lives With the Evil Dragon -The Evil Dragon of Ruin Wants to Spoil His Bride-
1000/10 re-read and buy in the printed form as soon as possible. One of my favorite books. It had some extremely dark themes, but it was in the sake of just revenge. Musee stops being human and fully becomes The Bride of the Evil Dragon. It was sad in so many ways, but also wholesome. First, I thought it was fucked up how it seemed as Ragna took away Musee's humanity, but it wasn't as if he possessed or violated her in any way. Musee just BECAME The Bride of the Evil Dragon, as in that 'being', but in her body. That's what and who Musee was meant to be. She just stopped caring about certain things she kind of would have before. The way Musee became was perfect for her. Musee was broken before becoming The Bride of the Evil Dragon, which means it healed her soul. It's difficult to explain. (I might edit this at some point and do a full recap/review.) Ragna and Musee get married at the end. They are truly happy with each other and truly love each other. However, the love from Musee's side doesn't become genuine until she fully becomes The Bride of the Evil Dragon. Before that, when she was broken, she just believed it to be love. It turns into real love when Musee's soul is saved and she turns into The Bride of the Evil Dragon. Musee truly is happy with Ragna then. Ragna has always loved her, genuinely, though. Ragna and Musee are meant for each other. And though it is truly horrific and heartbreaking that she had to endure all of this, Musee became truly happy in the end!
