Cute but honestly I started up get bored with sex scenes. Chikage fucked up by disappearing without saying anything to Momoki after they first slept together, but that’s really the only drama.

I liked this so much. The art is unique, THE BODY HAIR, the normal dicks (Callahan is big but not like a two liter of coke or anything, and uncircumcised!), the vibrant side characters, the “is he or isn’t he” with Johnny for the whole story. It’s very unique in terms of yaoi and it felt like the perfect length, and the epilogue was very satisfying. I love their sweet but spicy domesticity - the affection is real, but they also compliment each other and keep each other on their toes. Calahan could not be more DADDY and I love that Johnny, for all his innocent looks, is a tough, capable cookie who reeeeally wants to climb Calahan like a rugged tree. At first I wished it was color but I actually think b&w works so well here. It lets the art have a rough, atmospheric feel that contributes a lot to the story. I could’ve done without the attempted rape scene, but given the situation it’s not like it’s unrealistic, and Johnny took down that Lurch-looking motherfucker all by himself. Most importantly it WAS NOT between the main characters. The first encounter was definitely dub-con but everything after that is consensual and almost always initiated by Johnny.

This was so good! An extremely healthy relationship and approach to sex, ALL THE CONSENT, a top who cares how his bottom feels, supportive friends and family, and really hot, intimate smut. Perfect. The brother cousin thing was so weird and unnecessary, we’re just gonna ignore that.

Re-read, this is one of my favorites. The art is great, the plot is fun, there’s no huge drama. Se Eun is adorable and pervy (with an absolute peach of a booty), Jeongwoo is the definition of a puppy seme. I do wish he’d listen slightly better during sex (what’s new?) but you can definitely tell they’re both into it. I want Gyusik to get his own spin-off, he’s precious.

Mixed feelings on this one. On one hand, it was fun and interesting and actually challenged the hard line gay/straight divide we often see in yaoi. The environment had no homophobia whatsoever, and there were a few mentions of people being verse. Seisei is an absolute power bottom and Sakuya is honestly adorable. My only real issue with the story is that the focus on top/bottom behavior was so dumb and rigid. Like you can joke around about it but even if you're 100% one or the other in the bedroom, it doesn't have anything to do with your personality or attitude in regular life, or how you talk or act during sex even. There are all kinda of sexualities and preferences and being so set on top/bottom, boy/girl, masculine/feminine is a really heteronormative way of viewing the world. But overall it was cute. If only Kazuma hadn't assaulted both Seisei and Sakuya... not interested in his story honestly.
