I'm dropping this at the end of season one. I'm so fucking conflicted. The art is GORGEOUS. They're both so so pretty. This has such a good reviews, all calling Seung a green flag... I agreed at the start but toward the end of season 1 there were a few things that got my radar up, and then the chapter where he takes Hyesung to the hotel made me so fucking uncomfortable to read. It very much felt like rape and I read a few more chapters to see if they would actually talk but it didn't get any better. Hyesung clearly has a very tragic backstory and a lot of trauma, he tried to kill himself and is still to this day being gaslit and abused by Jihyuk. I don't mind dark stories if they're done well, and I do think Hyesung shows a fairly realistic depiction of PTSD, abuse, and unhealed trauma - and god knows his words after being pulled from the ocean rang so true, "I'm so tired. I just want it all to stop." I have said those exact words so many times. I'm mad BECAUSE this had the potential to be so much better. Why why why did they have to make Seung one more person who uses sex to control Hyesung? I know it's yaoi but good god, must we have smut every single chapter? Especially when there are heavy topics going on. Like what Hyesung needs is NOT sex, it's someone to support him. I was optimistic at first because Seung seemed so intent on making Hyesung feel good and not just rushing into sex, but after that hotel chapter I just can't. I'm not enjoying this on any level so I'm out.

Dropped at ch 15. Pissed because it had potential and Leo was such an unabashed power bottom. Ugh. … I was mostly enjoying this until about 2/3 of the way through, then I had to drop it. Calling this sweet or cute is wild IMO. Leo is stupid and thoughtless but not malicious, I actually liked him a lot. JJ on the other hand was an asshole from the very start and only got worse from there. They were both at fault for the breakup, but people kept treating him like some kind of victim even when his response to Leo pissing him off was to violently rape the man he claimed to love and leave him half naked on a warehouse floor. I cried honestly, it was so fucked up. I’m so sick of yaoi taking this route, what a waste of a potentially good story and good art.
