Muri Marriage
Cute but honestly I started up get bored with sex scenes. Chikage fucked up by disappearing without saying anything to Momoki after they first slept together, but that’s really the only drama.
Dead or alive
I liked this so much. The art is unique, THE BODY HAIR, the normal dicks (Callahan is big but not like a two liter of coke or anything, and uncircumcised!), the vibrant side characters, the “is he or isn’t he” with Johnny for the whole story. It’s very unique in terms of yaoi and it felt like the perfect length, and the epilogue was very satisfying. I love their sweet but spicy domesticity - the affection is real, but they also compliment each other and keep each other on their toes. Calahan could not be more DADDY and I love that Johnny, for all his innocent looks, is a tough, capable cookie who reeeeally wants to climb Calahan like a rugged tree. At first I wished it was color but I actually think b&w works so well here. It lets the art have a rough, atmospheric feel that contributes a lot to the story. I could’ve done without the attempted rape scene, but given the situation it’s not like it’s unrealistic, and Johnny took down that Lurch-looking motherfucker all by himself. Most importantly it WAS NOT between the main characters. The first encounter was definitely dub-con but everything after that is consensual and almost always initiated by Johnny.

1 Volume (Complete) - whyyyyyyy has no one finished this?
19 Sai no Porno Endeavor
Cute, uncensored. Not a favorite but not bad. Body hair - just a bit on the old man
Midnight Rain (CTK)
I loved this. the art was beautiful, really crisp. Ethan was frickin hot, I love how hairy he was. Mike was indeed like an abused cat who's wary of people who are nice to him. This wasn't fluffy or cute, but it was sweet - and bittersweet. It felt more realistic than most, just two damaged men finding solace in each other. there was ONE assault-y scene, when Ethan gave him a handjob. I hate it because it didn't need to happen that way for the story to continue as written, but at least Ethan knew he messed up and acknowledged it. More than we can usually expect.
