Genius Idol’s celebrity Strategy
The art is not as good as I expected. Sp the mc's face, throughtout the novel I continuously read the characters praise, hype and comment how mc is the most handsome celeb in the industry but the webtoon failed to adapt that. It was still a good read in a way (story wise) so I'll for sure look forward to see the scenes I liked in the novel get adapted to webtoon.
The Genius Idol’s Strategy to Stardom
Ok I'll be honest. I'm a novel reader and this is my review of the story. The overall plot is a 3 and a half stars for me but I gave this a 4 stars mostly bcos of the side characters- sp Ban Yohan. The first half of the story is actually great, the latter half is... well, let's just say... um, it was a disappointment. This story is your typical patriotic shts, foreign fans=bad, kfans=good. I get it, love your own or smth lol But at a certain point, as a reader, I'm just hopeful that I'll get to read an idol wn w no such discrimination towards a side of the fandom :( It's not just the blatant racial bias that I'm having a hard time coping w, the fact that it also felt like the plot is only moving bcos a drama/controversy is going on feels so... cheap to me. Ok back to the characters. Let's talk about my favorite, Ban Yohan. The dude is genuinely so silly. I love him a lot. That one time this geek presented a thesis on how parasocial relationship between idols and fans is unhealthy... Unprovoked, mind you lol oh boi I genuinely laughed out loud! His interaction w the mc makes the mc (yes, mc) bearable for me as well. (Yeah, I don't quite like the mc)... About the mc... I just think compared to his other group members he fell short (in terms of likability). The mc is cute at first but I was looking for more from him- I didn't get that 'more', sadly.
