So... this is kind of a hard one for me to rate, it shifts from very fluffy, cute, and funny to dark, chilling, and sad. The scenes depicting child abuse, rape, and child neglect were tough to swallow because of the clear and raw ways they were shown. The one scene I had the most problem with was Yoriko-San's backstory of abuse by men. But overall a beautiful story with interesting world-building and characters. I'm coming back to this review with the realization that the author is way more talented at Horror and Tragedy. I'm not saying this to belittle the Romance part but it honestly felt like the author wanted to write the Horror and Tragedy more than the Romance and Smut. But that's just my outlook.

Ok so my only problem is that she's ALWAYS CRYING. Beside that the plot is kind of slow and she's is mostly moved by the plot and waits for something to happen. And YES, I get it, she's fucking traumatized to hell and back, but give her SOMETHING. She's the classic do-no-wrong-poor-angel-pure-beauty-not-like-other-girls type, and I tolerate it but it becomes really annoying when she doesn't change at all. If I'm super honest, 95% of why I'm reading this is Yato, that man could torture me for a millennium and I'll say thank you.

I'm not sure how I'm feeling about this as a "Romance" but it's definitely a fun read.
