Her father is close to dying (and he tried to kill her half brother as a child), and her half brother is psycho, killing people left and right. Shes been kidnapped a few times and I believe she might be falling for the Duke without realizing it. And potentially making moves to become the empress

Her home got attacked by a minotaur and several other monsters and she is reckless trying to kill them and save her family, and he's just swooped in to keep her from danger.

The emperor never cared for his daughter, blaming her for his late wife's passing during childbirth. Her brother Raymond is a sweet golden retriever type. Her Brother Cesare doesn't want her to consummate her marriage (she does) and Cesare has been abusive towards her for a long time. She can communicate with monsters that are animal types (not demons iirc) and she has a lot of trauma from being abused and having an eating disorder. She has some massive mood swings and immediately prostrates herself when she thinks Iz will want to hit her (in the beginning) Iz is actually in love with her, and has been treating her better and trying to learn more about her. Freya is the original fmc and is becoming more like a villainess with her actions towards Ruby.

[75] isekai into her own novel, she is now the "final boss" villainess, and instead decides to be useful as a mage in a war her family sends her to fight in, the Duke who employs her to help ward off monsters becomes attached to her. An injured boy is on the front lines, which she decides to save (and he saves her in the same moment). The boy is the ML and a secret prince. He's prickly at first and doesn't want to be around her but then tries to protect her (like when he learns she is fighting monsters) their friendship grows. She thinks she's going to witness the og ml and fmc meet and see the fireworks but that doesn't happen because ml is into her now instead. She topples her evil family and makes a many friends as she does enemies.
