rough beginning with the art style. for me, it resembled an american webcoming, tbh, but it wasn't a problem. it slowly improved, but at the end MC looked to twinkish... the story was pretty solid, imho. and, just like many other yaoi, our MC was a vital point for the "main villain" but nothing was much done by him to turn his character more engaging with the main focus of the story. it would have been much better if he had been a "bait" or had more important tasks instead of being just an important piece that wasn't used. this is what i hate when authors introduce a harem but don't make them engaging--the main "MI" was the one pulling all of the strings even though we had three (two minus the yandere twink bc he doesn't care lol) with their own desires and problems but they are just there to "serve" the MI and make him seem better? hmn. we had good characters with bad focus. A SHAMEEEEEE. i loved chan and taein--i see the author gave them some attention towards the end, but their focus just went to the sidelines without closure to give it to the MI, which is a damn shame. they were "alive" characters, and if they had been given more attention rather than more sex scenes, it would have been much better. why did the MC choose MI? they all treated him the same in my opinion. yandere twink could have been much better if there had been more "sentimental" scenes with mental anguish to develop a much impactful character. all of the side characters needed more focus. taein was such a good character, his self-harm trauma could have been much explored, but it was just there, even though we knew this wasn't a "harem" per se. MI was interesting, but i think his backstory was not that impactful to me... and this is why i don't get why to make a harem at all if you are not going to explore all the characters fairly? it had a lot of potential. tbh, authors need to grow some balls and choose polygamy as end game, LMAO. this work had potential to be one, and, honestly, it seemed fair to me. all treated MC the same, and, just because all of them have their traumas and demons doesn't mean one is has more "right" to end with him. it would have been very interesting to MC seen as a "savior" and a "pure light" at the end for ALL of them, because that's what he was for them... also, the aftermath of his brother's death was not impactful. i expected a depressive, heavy angst arc, but intead, we got a sex scene with the MI with the justification of "forgetting", which was cheap writing. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD HAREM ARC AGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. the best of this webtoon was the end when they go fight the "villain". that was a GREAT example of making an engaging story where the MC is present. that would have been much better and refreshing--engage the MC in battles or more "moving" plots where he has to take action, instead of just making him still and boring. MC had a very good reason to be an important key of the plot, but like many other MCs, he just is passed around. ah... but i liked this, either way. if i think about fanfics i could write with chan and taein... ah, and, people said to me this was "traumatizing", but it's just the same rape plus gangbang, the same yaoi tropes. this story is very straightforward since the beginnig, so you can see where this is going, anyway.
