Last read Ch 80 - end Ch 80.5 - author’s notes I want to put in my thoughts after reading this work without the influence of others’ input. MC was being bullied to the point that he’d make a pact with the devil just to get back at those that hurt him for no reason. I get that there’d be devil, Angel elements in this eventually but when it was introduced, along with the past life, flashback, and the connection to the present, I momentarily experienced an information overload and a feeling of some things out of place since I didn’t think the influence of having powers would take center stage that much. I just thought it’d be the quaint, usual subtle but strong presence of the supernatural but more vengeance. That’s what I expected in this story at least. Characters and their dynamic, I see what the author is going for. Add to that the morality and such. However, I still feel iffy that MC’s revenge is not relieving. I didn’t expect they’d be killed but there wasn’t enough thrashing for me that’s for sure. This is delving into personal feelings for the characters now if not earlier. I agree with the MC that he wasn’t Faust. Their situation was different in the sense that MC was pushed to the brink and this was high school, whether or not there was an influence in their past lives. Also, I get that though the memories are lost, the sins are not forgotten. However, 300 years is quite the long span. The burden could not have had been reduced from good karma? Jungho was thrashed a lot both physically, psychologically, and emotionally. I’m the one feeling suffocated xD I doubt these people would be like this if they were in Jungho’s shoes. Don’t count on the higher beings. I’m sure they would’ve went for the kill rather than be humiliated as much as MC. Sihyun could’ve been the voice of reason for his friend; Jinoh would be the support in settling the debts of those who hurt Jungho but not to the point of crossing the line like getting themselves in prison, and this is without powers. On another note, I like the fact that it’s HE. I like happy endings. And I like how they tailored the meaning of the number of days left until his due. I still feel unsettled but I like seeing Jungho happy

Last read ch 122 This is a first in a long time where there’s no romance. I’m rather surprised xD I like the MC here too. He prepares and plans ahead, not to mention an efficient player. I like the introduction and how the premise was setup. I also like this side of necromancy too - where the skeleton could inherit the skills of the summoner. It’s rather interesting! And I like how he kept his first summon, the little skelly xD Update: I finished the novel that was kindly linked by one of the commenters. The ending felt anti-climatic? The final battle was unexpected to say the least. They only implied their next plan (conquering the final dungeon to end things), the aftermath after the games end, and then the comedic relief of lee Jin ah. There were some differences between the novel and manhwa; the former was more detailed and the latter was a good adaptation too

Last read ch 160 FIN I initially wrote that I got bored and had a bland taste. I think it’s because I expected a lot from the fight scenes. After a while, I continued to read where I left off and I’m not as bored as I thought. I did notice some plot holes though. Overall, I’m glad that was a happy ending. Also, I can’t unsee young Henry as Legolas from Lord of the Rings. Could’ve sworn they took inspiration from it haha
