Yhes's manga / #mean seme(5)

A newcomer asking for a favor from a powerful CEO through bodily means. A pretty cliché concept, but it seems decently well executed so far. The comedy definitely helps. I'm interested in seeing where this webtoon goes.

A solid typical BL manga, but some plotlines have loose ends, such as the situation with the seme's father. Aside from that, this is a very fun read. Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars.

One of the best BL manga I've ever read. Unlike many romance stories, "BJ Alex" has actual character development. DG hasn't changed much, but has become a bit more confident. Jiwon changed a lot. At first, he was mean and extremely two-faced. Now, he has accepted his true self and is finally more honest with himself and others. The base storyline isn't too unique; a cold seme taking advantage of a shy uke that lacks self-confidence. Other storylines in "BJ Alex" are much more special, however, like coming out to friends and dealing with trauma and homophobia. These themes should be more present in BL, but they are strangely rare. All in all, "BJ Alex" is an amazingly addictive story that you won't regret reading.

Popular host 'Aya' x rich guy 'Shingyouji'. Shingyouji buys Aya. They start a casual relationship, but Aya wants more. Super cliché. Mean, possessive yakuza seme and a pretty tsundere uke. Cliché doesn't mean it's bad (look at the Finder series), but it just wasn't well-written. They both seem shallow and Shingyouji (seme) doesn't really have much of any redeemable qualities.
