Double Trap
Damn this story is wild but so interesting. The idea of a love triangle between two personalities of the same person with DID is fascinating and intriguing and the author definitely followed through with the drama and intrigue. Honestly I was wrapt the whole time. The artistic representations of the psychological turmoil that Yura was going through were so interesting and haunting, so emotionally charged. The whole time I knew the solution was that they needed to merge personalities but I felt just as hopeless as Jinsung that it would ever happen. I think the writing overall was top notch for this one, between the emotions and the psychological aspects of the plot. And the side couple was awesome and intriguing as well. A playboy who tries so hard to be cool and collected and a gamer who sees right through him and manages to break down his walls. A concept and excellent execution good enough that it could have been its own comic. I’m just so impressed and happy about this comic, it’s definitely one of the best I’ve read.
Addiction
The wolf is so manipulative yet also at times genuine which is so confusing and honestly really not what the fox needs in his life. The poor guy was taken away from his loving father by a horrible bitch of a mother who doesn’t care about him. He was neglected and bullied by his step brother growing up and his closest friend just tried to rape him, the poor guy just can’t get a break. I just want to see him happy and that’s all that’s keeping me reading this since the wolf guy has yet to convince me that he is a good person for Fox guy. I found the writing to be kind of confusing and hard to follow at times. Like there was a larger world and backstories that we didn’t see but the author had in mind when writing it. Particularly around Sirang’s family- there seemed to be some tension and history that would explain why he is the way he is. We got Kim Ho’s backstory but not Sirang’s, which was kinda weird. Overall though it was a very atmospheric and vibes based read from the color scheme to the perspectives. It felt underdeveloped at times and left me with things feeling unresolved (I think unintentionally). I did enjoy it but I’m not sure I’d reread it again. Very nice art though.
Miscreants And Mayhem
I liked this story. despite the violence and murder and weird quasi-incest it was an interesting read. Gotta say the fact that they were father and son 15 years before and then become lovers is still weird and makes me a bit uncomfortable. But overall the story was good and the characterization was super strong. I think the plot was a bit confusing at times, especially toward the end it felt a little rushed and like there were things set up that didn’t get resolved. But I really like this author and think this is another good one.
