I really like the storytelling of this one. I think the author is Gromyko a good job selling me on the hardships our main character has been through and rooting for him to make it and have the normal life he wants. His characterization is strong and he makes interesting but consistent choices that evolve over the story, which is good writing. The love interest guy is absolutely a jerk at the beginning but I do believe his devotion to his bf, especially after a near-death experience, that kinda shit changes people.
Pretty well written, I liked it.
