Nii-chan (harada)
It shows an intresting dynamic, it is, however, just as fucked up as all of Harada's other works. I really liked seeing the mc's delve into insanity and how him and the pedophile guy ultimately ended up.
Litchi Hikari Club
This was certainly...something. Kanon is deadass such a femme fatale, like wdym you got captured by a random cult made by highschool boys and turned into a "Number 1" because of your beauty?? The way she interacted with lychee too? SHE was the one that truly managed to turn lychee into a "human". This was very fucked up, but the twist with Jaibo was really shocking, honestly I don't know what the fuck they all saw in Zera(a.k.a Tsunekawa). Like he was certainly a bit smart, but he was so immature that it canceled out.
KAMI NO KODOMO
From the start it was pretty obvious that he was a psychopath. He learnt how to fit in, and he used his age to his advantage. The cult was crazy tho, the art was so perfect for this type of story, it perfectly conveyed the fucked up feeling. I liked the ending of this, it wasn't shown as a punishment for him, but rather just a consequence of his actions. It even showed us that the cult was still there, it probably didn't end with his death alone, whether these children in the cult would grow up to be like him or leave this alone as a part of their dark past, we'll never know.
PRIDE (knock)
Made me felt melancholy the whole time. Felt strangely....warm? I liked how it unraveled, had a mix of mystery and psychological in here
Yakusoku no Neverland
Loved, honestly hope it gets a remake where the anime actually follows the manga. It's great, an emotional rollercoaster but with a happy ending.
PIGPEN
LOVEDDDD. The plot twists were absolutely amazing, this author is one of my faves. I honestly do not understand how they can think of such things like this. I loved the way they portrayed the mcs mental illness and how he acted according to it. Just when you think thats all there is yo it, another twist unveils itself.
Royal Servant
rlly somber read, ig ithad to do with the overall depressing vibe, dull color palette, and angst. ML was highkey shit at first, i deadass celebrated when the mc tried to kms and ml finally repented n shit. One of the first angst bls i read ithink
Psycho (Young Dream) Webtoon
Great story. The plot twist was honestly amazing, though a bit confusing at times, it was pretty great how the things that seemed so random just made sense with the plot twist. Loved how the ending showed us that the MC is the true psycho, not hare. Hare is literally just an illusion of what the MC wanted, a person who would do anything and everything just to keep him by his side and would accept him no matter his sin. It makes perfect sense that he would fall in love with the illusion, Hare, rather than the REAL Jason, because that Jason was the one that pushed him away, was embarrassed of him, etc. Hare is the perfect illusion he made, I loved it. Not gonna lie though, I do get why others wouldn't like it. The pacing and translation were a bit confusing at times.
Shoujo Tsubaki
Literally didnt know how to rate this, fucked up. Honestly, Midori is just a victim, she a fucking CHILD who was manipulated, raped, coerced, groomed, scammed, you name it. Her hate for the freaks and the circus as a whole isn't just because she thinks their monsters because of their looks, but also because they literally treat her like a slave and the circus along with them is the major cause of her misery. But sad thing is, even without the circus, Midori would probably still be miserable, we can see that she actually has good looks, through the many people in the story that say so, but that would more likely be a cause of misery than luck as she could get sold to a brothel, raped, whatevr. Her bad luck started from the moment she was born within a poor family, not just with the circus, with her dad leaving, with her mom dying. She was doomed by the world the very moment she was born.
