Night of Ecstasy's manga / #Yaoi(65)

Jesus christ I don't know what to make of this. On one hand, it's depressing as fuck and tragic but on the other I was morbidly invested in the story. To be honest, I didn't like the ending. Putting aside the fact that the Uke is clearly suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, it didn't feel like a happy ending or at the very least a bitter sweet one. It felt more like the characters were just like "fuck it, I guess I'm stuck with you now". To be honest it should've ended in tragedy with how things were. Also, I absolutely hate the "second couple" (if that's even a couple). One guy is quick to temper and treats his friend and others like shit while the other one is soft and can't muster up the courage to tell him enough. But, like the toxic main, they still end up together. (Little nitpick, but I think it's complete BS that the Uke forgot his past with Seme. Yes I know he technically "forced" himself to forget but still. That relationship was a major part of his high-school life.) All in all this was a strange but morbidly interesting read. Wouldn't recommend it for romantics though.

More like 2.5 stars. I would've liked it better if the story was fleshed out more.

I read this story years ago. In fact, I found this site in search of where I could read this and I've been here since then. I'm not gonna rate it right now because I plan to reread it again now that I'm older. Problem is, I'm scared to reread it. I don't remember much, but the things I do remember has me feeling miserable. I've read some fucked up yaois but, for whatever reason, THIS was the one that stuck to me. So until I reread it again, I'm leaving this rating blank.

I HAVE NEVER READ SADISTIC BEAUTY NOR HAVE ANY INTEREST IN READING SADISTIC BEAUTY! But I started reading this because I heard it was a bootleg version of Killing Stalking. Fuck you. Atleast Killing Stalking doesn't parade itself as a "BL". This shit is anything but a BL. I don't know what the author has against this particular character but every fucked up thing that's happened to him is presented like he deserved it for being a "bad dude". But no, let's also make it about his kidnapper/rapist. As if he deserves any sympathy. Atleast stories like Warehouse and Killing Stalking are centered around the psychological horror of it and don't actively have "BL" in their title. The MC doesn't even fall in love. They stick together in the end so they aren't lonely. BL my ass. I LOVE Hasty (the translator). They pretty much say what I've been thinking and has the sense to know this shit ain't "love". In short, I'm now DEFINITELY not reading Sadistic Beauty.

This story was pretty much made so that Keith could properly regret his actions. Still enjoyed it.

This was a cute story about regret and romance. To be honest, I thought the whole arc about the temp trying to get with Kang Joon was pointless and didn't really lead to anything. I guess it was to establish that Yoon Seul easily gets jealous and immature but that was pretty much already established even before they got together. I dont know. Maybe I'm nit-picking. Either way, this was a cute read that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys those "Seme-regrets-actions" stories.
