Bitten By Moonlight
character designs are hot but if the story is completed i think that's all it had going for it?? i wish it were longer because it seemed like the story had potential. chaba's got a thing for crying ukes
Bloodbound
the ending was SO LACKLUSTER! they did so much info dumping the first few chapters but it went nowhere! who was the red hair "antagonist" (bc really was he even really one) collecting blood for and what was he gonna do with it? how often do no good-doers wreck havoc on the cities and what other precaution could the government take to prevent that from happening? how is fabian randomly ok with physical touch after bring repulsed the first few times? k's backstory had so much potential but they glazed over it so quickly and i still don't understand him and his motives, much less fabian even tho we're getting things from his pov! k and fabian's relationship feels so awkward and forced! why spend so much time trying to introduce so many concepts just to have it thrown out for the bangs?? fabian seems to have such an awesome ability, but he never gets to use it! there's some series that get drawn out to be 100+ chapters for no reason, then we have this on the complete opposite end of the spectrum.... k carried that extra star in this rating for his extreme hotness alone
Holiday
there is basically no plot but the characters are so hot and i would be so invested if the designs were recycled for a space opera
Plaything
this took me an awful long time to read. nothing seemed to have happened in 10 years btwn the end of season 2 and the side stories! illic and the duke still have the same dispositions and relationship dynamic. i kinda thought maybe illic might learn about the duke's mental illness and work out how it fits with things going forward with this new context (perhaps together with the duke), or the duke might be less controlling and obsessive and be a bit more experimental to see if things could be enjoyable for the both of them. NO. the duke seemed a bit sad that he couldn't be in a mutual relationship, so why didn't he work harder to try and make it happen?? i had to reflect hard on myself and realize i don't wanna be like them. the sex wasn't that great, the story execution was really weak, the pacing was difficult, and their "relationship" is depressing. getting a glimpse of the duke's pov was the most interesting part of the story. the art is so good, i wanna see the style get paired with a compelling story and for an manhwa equivalent of an intimacy coordinator to provide guidance to optimizing the horny bc this was not it.
How Can You Be Pure!
men in judo uniforms? spicy. the story felt clunky tho. the first 75% felt really slow and sluggish and the last quarter felt super rushed. it kind of bothers me that an adult guy was pining after a middle schooler for 10+ years? i would've been ok if he's struggling with not living up to an ideal, but nope dude got creepily attached to a random ass letter.
Lion and Venus
pacing was a little too fast and i got whiplash from the "this-is-incest" feign. had potential.
Blue Quicksand
ahjussi is kinda unlikeable so far lol. it's 2024, he's not so old that a bit of self-reflection is out of bounds for him. edit: i finished it and it's flat and straightforward but overall i liked it. the uke is so unlikeable but i loved that the seme lived in such extreme delulu that he found a way to glorify him.
