i can't tell you how long i've waited for a middle eastern foreign prince to get railed, esp by a japanese dude bc there's sooo many stories in the reverse. the cover art was so promising, but this story was NOT it. it had a- what i feel- pretty poor message and the way it got hashed left a lot to be desired. i don't even know if all the characters are morally grey or just abominable. does the idea of a forced partnership due to biology make a character more sympathetic even tho they're a pedo who tried to kidnap and groom a kid? then there's the seme, who bit his crush knowing he could potentially change his gender, which opens up the door for more exploitation. this could be potentially compelling, but it wasn't. why couldn't this just be a run-of-the-mill story where a prince just wants to add another dude to his harem and they end up falling for each other in the process? but this time the prince gets bonked. they could even tussle for dominance. what was wrong with that?? two stars bc while i didn't like the story, lai was hot :-(.

brett has money, power, brawn, and brains, and is so completely unbothered. someone mentioned his surprise at the safeword working when there wasn't anything for his partner to gain since everything for him is about reciprocity. i think it was mutually beneficial bc even if he was out of it, his partner would feel guilty for pushing brett beyond his boundaries.
