i hated this. the mc's only crime was his obnoxiousness that was rooted in toxic masculinity. he was wronged the entire time, yet he had to be the one to reflect on himself? and to continue salting the wound, it seems like the story as a whole is sanctioned by its readership.

rated bc i skimmed

it's a day when i'm ditching the story despite there being a super hot uke in it. the beginning was kinda disorienting but ok, i just lost interest but maybe i'll come back to it since the author is different from the other story with the same art style. that one was tedious and sort of bled into my feelings for this one

their relationship is exhausting. ofc it's natural for the older person to process and reconcile their feelings for someone they've viewed as a kid their entire lives and the younger person to want to be treated as an adult, but it just never feels like they're really making any headway. dropping and not gonna tag it. himbos COULD be fun, but i haven't found one yet that i enjoy

totoki is the gap moe i love in my life. i like scrolling thru the comments and ppl apparently had an issue with yoshizawa in ch 2? i didn't think he was pressuring totoki at all. more like, despite him not knowing if he could commit to a same-sex relationship, he realized he was very ok with it. on the flip side, totoki seemed uncomfortable with physicality despite having the crush first. to make totoki feel more comfortable, yoshizawa offered to go back to a friendship-only situation and totoki misconstrued that. they're in high school, miscommunication's gonna happen but ultimately at least totoki forced yoshizawa to be more open about his concerns.

harold's love interest looks too much like a few other characters so it was hard to figure out what was happening in relation to that. plot maybe had promise? but the execution didn't really hit.

this took me an awful long time to read. nothing seemed to have happened in 10 years btwn the end of season 2 and the side stories! illic and the duke still have the same dispositions and relationship dynamic. i kinda thought maybe illic might learn about the duke's mental illness and work out how it fits with things going forward with this new context (perhaps together with the duke), or the duke might be less controlling and obsessive and be a bit more experimental to see if things could be enjoyable for the both of them. NO. the duke seemed a bit sad that he couldn't be in a mutual relationship, so why didn't he work harder to try and make it happen?? i had to reflect hard on myself and realize i don't wanna be like them. the sex wasn't that great, the story execution was really weak, the pacing was difficult, and their "relationship" is depressing. getting a glimpse of the duke's pov was the most interesting part of the story. the art is so good, i wanna see the style get paired with a compelling story and for an manhwa equivalent of an intimacy coordinator to provide guidance to optimizing the horny bc this was not it.
