Rivalry

Ongoing | Oryu | 2000 released

Main couple: I love them, your honor. First time I loved the top more than the bottom. Like don't get me wrong they're both my babies but Dojae (my love)... Second Couple: Imma just say it right here: Hyobin deserved way better!! Like he acc deserved someone he fell in love with rather than someone he just became resigned to bc he loved them (not was IN LOVE with them) when they were a child. And Hyuk did seem like a child still I'm ngl, like main bottom seemed childish but Hyuk seemed like underdeveloped and still a child. I think by trying so hard to portray the puppy, crybaby top the author made him a caricature more than a real person. I love puppy tops but only when they're made actually emotionally open and with character (+ their own life, frnds and SELF RESPECT tht is free of their feelings for the bottom) rather than just existing to be a laborer for the bottom, are you even human if u don't have desires, goals, likes and wants of your own? My bbg Woowon (who I shall hear no slander about) is the perfect example of a puppy top who has their own well built character and life without it being BUILT on and for the Seo-an. Rather, it seems like they're built or made FOR each other (I require at least some equality in terms of feelings for e/o it can't be this lopsided dude). All the other characters in this story (especially Hyobin and Dojae) seemed realistic but Hyuk just seemed goofy and one dimensional. I think he should've been with someone his age and acc gotten some life experience before he even thought of approaching Hyobin. Honestly, what Hyobin needed was a therapist to rlly decipher why he thought having casual sex made him feel unworthy of a relationship, why he might have continued doing it even though he felt that way and whether he (himself) wanted to stop this. He also needed to be with someone he actually came to naturally fall in love with rather than someone (it seemed like) he got with bc they won't leave him alone even though he's sexually experienced and at least he loved (not was in live with) them when they were a kid. I mean, I'm so frustrated, because he's such a loveable character so he should've gotten a proper story instead of this quarter-assed one. Also, as someone who has a lot of younger neighbors/mom's friend's kids that they babysit, it would be really really terrifying and weird if one of them (god forbid) confessed their love to me. Like think ab it, he saw this kid as his pseudo younger brother just a couple years ago, even if the author was gonna make them end up together they should've made Hyuk older and have a lot more life experience. Then maybe he could have a crush again on his childhood love rather than this creepy, stalkerish attitude. It felt like Hyobin was scared to lose him from his life completely and that's why he decided to start dating him rather than a natural decision. I wish they would've left Hyobin alone rather than giving him this type of story. Also, I have nothing against Hyuk's character (other than that he doesn't rlly have a presence and lacks flavor) but I did feel that he wasn't suited for Hyobin (at least rn) and he didn't rlly add anything good to Hyobin's story.
