7.5 The plot was a bit random but it was so cute. It should be longer

7.5 Okay I’m not entirely sure how to feel about this one. I’ve finished all the chapters of Fate Makes no Mistakes out. I’ll say the plot was quite slow paced in the 1st season which almost made me wanna drop it. But it did get better in season 2. S3 was phenomenal (I’m guessing it was the reason why there’s so many good reviews) and made the previous seasons better. I finally got what people said abt things coming together later on. It was written very neatly. It’s just imo the insights and flashbacks into the character’s motivations came a bit too late, which made the previous 2 seasons feel kinda flat when reading before that point. However, getting past about half way through (especially s3), everything you’ve read prior feels way more poignant and meaningful. The things that are revealed and shown make the previous chapters so much more impactful. It’s very angsty and kinda poetic. It really tied things together. It almost reminded me of past lives kdramas in the way the story flowed. Which felt nostalgic. It also has a lot of anecdotes that resonated with me, and pulled at my heart strings. It resonated w me with its loneliness anecdotes and the lore mechanics regarding lowering one’s spirit by pilling up loss and tragedy around them. “Killing the memory or letting the memory kill you”. Damn it hit so fucking hard The visuals, especially in s3 were absolutely stunning (the historical arc ughhh)!! I loved the design of the characters-- so fresh in the bl manhwa realm (the blindfolds, the run markings, the square black symbols, etc). Sooo cool

8 The mc is so shameless, it's so iconic. He’s the master of bullshitting. No wonder it’s the same author of virgin witch. They really do feel related lmao It’s SO FUCKING FUNNY. This made me laugh soooo hard. It kinda reminds me of Single Not Ready to Mingle, but even better i think. There’s so many pop culture references it’s so fucking funny. “Wanna worship and chill” “fifty shades of abroria” And the religious dirty talk is so hawwwt. It feels so unholy to read lol, but really spicy eheheh The religious fanatism anecdotes are really poignant too. Chill inducing really. I hate the priest ml so much. He legit scares me I was reading it for shits and giggles. It was overall so light hearted and hilarious the whole time. But it suddenly shifted into such a heavy theme with the priest raping scenes. It broke me out in sobs…. the way the mc just tries to be complacent and gaslight himself that he’s not being raped since he knows he can’t escape either way so he’s trying to take back as little control as he can to survive through it. I’ve never seen such a triggering and raw insight into a victim’s mind during rape in BLs. I expected this to be a “turning your brain off” smutfest, but it sobered me right up. It’s so accurately written that makes it that much more triggering. It very accurately depicts PTSD from SA and what goes through a person’s mind while it’s occurring— which was completely unexpected from this series and well, made it incredibly triggering. I’m almost desensitized to rape in BLs since it’s so freaking common. For better or worse it’s usually romanticized the heck out of it, so you just kinda compartmentalize and be like “yaoi logic, just gotta turn off my brain for this one ig” But this time, it was so rawly depicted from the person’s being raped POV that it was sobering (and triggering)

7 It was a cute sweet guideverse short story. Very green flaggy. And the art and chibis were really cute eheh. A solid strong 7

8 CUTENESS OVERLOAD OMGGG. The chibis were so fucking cute and funny. Especially En’s. He’s such a lil baby aaaa. I love him! His dynamic with the mc (and with basically all other characters) is perfect. I love how they all dote on him. So freakinggg cute. And his baby chibi is freaking funny and adorable. The art style is absolutely top tier. Such a treat for the eyes! So hawt, aesthetically pleasing and funny at the same time. Literally every single character is hot af, the character designs are reallyyy good. The sex scenes are also so hot, and the mains have great chemistry. It also has a lot of funny scenes, despite being more slow-paced than most stories I read. I enjoyed it a lot. The blondie side character is such an icon lmaooo. I always laugh when he makes an appearance and his hubby is also mighty fine. The backstories of the characters are also angsty at times, and feel realistic within the setting. And I also love how slowburn the romance between the mains is (despite the FwB status). And the mystery plot line adds a nice touch to it. Can't wait for volume 3 eheh

8.5 Hmm there’s a lot of things I loved about this manhwa. But it’s a tad bit overrated tbh. First of all, at times I got annoyed by the romance subplot but it was also okay— kinda mixed feelings. What truly bothered me though was how Arthur had to constantly save Tess (like 5 times!?! Wth). It was giving too much damsel in distress (which I HATE), despite Tess supposedly being depicted as a really strong character. (Note a few chapters later: I’m glad this was explicitly brought up. Hopefully it won’t be this way going forward). And the training arc was a bit monotonous and boring. Ig the action in this webtoon is just overall more slow paced than most shounen But all and all it was plenty of fun! The art is absolutely gorgeous beyond s1. It was quite funny and interesting lore. I also quite liked the cultivation magical lore. It was explained to such a detailed extent and so interesting. The analogies drawn and the pace also felt very appropriate. Though ig I’m spoiled with super intense faster paced shounen, I found it refreshing in a sense and it felt more realistic. And I’ve seen many comments saying the best of tbate is still yet to be adapted, and that it gets muchhhh better. That said, I still enjoyed it plenty so far. I just crazy af expectations since it was always mentioned together with ORV and SL. Also, I’m disappointed with the art style change of s3. It feels like such a downgrade *sigh*

7 (potential 7.5?) Ooop I thought it was already complete smh. The plot concept is kinda cool but the noncon was kinda unnecessary since it was made it a super wholesome manga right after
