It's an okay read, however I will say this, the MC for a captain of guards is way too oblivious, dense, easy, vulnerable. Drinks whatever is given to him? Lets the ML assault him? Is wishy washy and always needing to be saved?. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying people can't be that way, but he is supposed to be a captain, again. Strong, smart, someone who protects.
