Risa was the average office worker until she was suddenly transported into a new world. A world where magic existed, which allowed technology to quickly thrive, but at a cost: the food was not subject to the some advancement and instead only existed for one's survival, regardless of flavor. Risa is adopted as the daughter if a marquis and opens up a cafe which helps her touch the hearts, and stomachs, of many. SPOILERS There is talk of Risa becoming the crown prince's finance, which leaving Risa in a difficult position. While she does not want to tarnish the reputation of the marquis family that took her in, she lacks much knowledge of the new world, and should likely have to close her cafe and end her life as a chef.
