But the ring can only activate with mana, that's why the emperor made a law to have only magic be used by the imperial family and kidnapped any mages. Max asked duke is that why duke has not caused treason against the emperor and duke cannot say due to the curse. All he can say is that max needs to be stronger Ch 76 now main is suspicious why her father is acting cold just like in the past. I think his student the crown prince is also a tyrant personality and cold, he likes how his daughter worries about him and now he's focused on her own happiness and he worries if main marries crown prince, she will be in a bad relationship. Crown prince is actually living as a commoner knight to hide himself bc the current empress is his step mom who was responsible to killing his mom. Knight was shocked and was flattered bc he is the crown prince. But main only heard rumors of the crown prince as a sadist tyrant and would run away and even ask knight for a contract date to avoid the arranged marriage. He felt wronged and annoyed bc he likes her but of course he cant tell her his real identity and he felt gloomy how she viewed the crown prince. Also he felt that contract relationship felt so fake and he really wants to be romantic with her for real Ch 23 recap main saw marriage candidate list and main tries to avoid the topic of the crown prince circled on that list. So for a party she was invited, she asked several other candidates but the duke heard she needed a partner for a party but checked each one and they were unsuitable for her. Crown prince (identity not revealed yet) was jealous of main's partner for the cufflinks but he heard her side and it was a misunderstanding.
