Ch 29 reveal Ch 50ish house hogan is a very rich merchant family, even nobles dislike them and their stuck up attitudes. Main and guy discovered an illegal fighting ring that cost many ppl's lives. But bc the house is very powerful, they bribed ppl and tried to fire the detectives involved. Main guy took the fall to prevent more damage to their detective group. Now main and guy live in different city while guy gets hired by his royal cousin to be an underground/undercover detective and report only to the cousin in instances and crimes. The royal related detective work is mostly for magic related crimes bc they need to keep it quiet when persecuted to not scare the public. Main met a kid who was at the illegal fighting ring and saved him, he offered his service in turn for room and board. Main teaches him manners and reading and writing, guy is a bit jealous but doesnt realize that his actions is bc of jealousy. Still not sure about main's background. But the guy's adoptive mom sees main's appearance to remind her of another noble from 20 yrs ago who was also a candidate for her now husband. But that noble ran away to elope with a painter. The same story that is related to the main, but main and the mom have not connected the dots (if only main had the locket on her, it has the mom's pic in it) Wait for ch 70

. Wait for ch 28 Yeah, the king and his concubine r pretty rude to exclude the queen, only marrying her to get a child for the next heir. Main acts like one of them but she is sympathetic to the queen and wishes to protect the prince and she is weary of the concubine's presence to the prince heir Ch 13 main lists ppl that would lead to the queen's demise. I wonder what main would do

. Wait after ch 11 Main apparently had noble background, but due to politics, her dad general was placed in debt and they lost their status. So main worked as a main to support her ill brother. After she accidentally pulled the holy sword, that activated the reincarnation of the demon lord, who happens to be her ill brother. But they have a good relationship. Main comforts her brother and his feelings of evil goes away. However bc he is a demon lord, he has demon servants that popped up whenever he gets angry, so main has to live with them
