But dark can't trust the rulers since they had betrayed their master in the first place. So dark and his friend the dragon monarch left both groups and to find a different place to reign over and found earth. They noticed that the war btwn rulers and monarchs caused many devastations. Including earth. Dark mentioned that rulers had found an item called the cup of resurrection. It can turn back time of 10 years. It is to fix any mistakes of the war. But like all things, it doesn't last. The cup is at its last usage. During these restarts, he and his dragon friend tried to find compatible human vessels bc they can feel the rulers and monarchs getting closer and they would wreck havoc on earth. Since earth isn't a ready planet of magic, the rulers gave them the powers now known as hunters so that at least the few humans left are still alive after the war ends. Now currently demon king has no qualms with mains current body since it is no longer a main one.
