Dine With a Vampire
This is hands down the best portrayal of an abusive relationship, PTSD, and healing afterwards.
The Abyss
I am traumatized. I love dark stories but.... Someone for the love of all things - SAVE THIS UKE! The author shows us a very realistic abuse victim and the way they truly act/think. That alone sets this apart from other dark mangas. This is the darkest thing I've read in my life, just for that reason.
Cover Up
The art was gorgeous, the story was interesting. The ex showed a lot of character depth, and what he chose to do was pretty interesting. Sometimes people that do wrong things, can change their ways. It felt like too easy of a story, although it was a good one. It felt like eating a slice of cake, satisfying but temporary.
To You In The Swamp
This delt with abuse SO well. It really gave a great perspective of someone who has a trauma bond & or is scared of their abuser. The physical reactions and emotional ones felt so relatable. I'm glad he had Avery.
When The Yakuza Falls Inlove
It was really cute, Yakuza leaders 3yo son thinks some random 22yo college kid is his mama. It was fast paced and easy going.
Don't Cry, Sunbae!
Just as he was about to be beaten up, Eunsoo is comforted by Hajoon, who appeared like a knight. But why would you... You're even comforting me in my dreams?! **Has a habit of dating bad men.
Imperfect Pervert
It was dark and twisty but it was missing something I can't quite figure out. Maybe I wasn't a fan of how we got the bits and pieces of the past that he had forgotten. It just seemed like that part could have been a tad better. Also I wanted to feel Seme's hatred way more.
Scandalous M
It had some of my favorite things, masochist Uke(MC), a toxic af ex, a knight in shining armor. The plot was done so well, every character felt like they had a purpose. The only complaint was the art, I wasn't a huge fan of how the characters looked. They just weren't my style.
