i would feel bad rating this any less than five stars because it felt like there was so much thought put into the information and pacing and what the author chose to show and when. i dont think it's one of my favorites because im not one for possessiveness but its really good story-wise

i mean idk man after the tight plot of the first one i was expecting more but for the life of me i could not follow what happened in this one. maybe its because i didn't read it in one day but idk i just found by interest waning. if there is a third volume tho i'd probably check it out

obsessed with the main guy constantly serving face. anyways, first of all, love the folktales babes. second, i'm obsessed with the plot. i don't even mind the infodumping because i have no idea what's going on at any given moment. also, unfortunately, i do have another praise. the rape scene being very clearly non consensual. sad i have to point that out but you know. BUT i do have one concern. like, the only way this story can continue on as five stars is if we switch love interests (maybe the other agent) and have the mc work through his trauma. i think there is a discussion to be had about having mixed feelings about your assault, but if they try to twist it into like "but he liked it anyway!!" i'm going to throw a chair.
