One of my favorites! So cute, and so heartwarming! An overworked single father finds himself at the mercy of a flippant patron of the izakaya he works at when his daughter gets sick. He learns that the man is more than what meets the eye, and may be exactly what -- and who -- he needs. ~Chapter 18

His antics are literally so funny. Every time I feel like having a good laugh, I turn to this manga. The pure hilarity, heart, and soul of this manga charmed me. ~Chapter Season2 ch.4

A very cute story about a lethargic freeter and his nukos (tiny cat humans). The story contains surprisingly bittersweet elements that show up later in the story. Extremely heartwarming. If you’re in need of sweetness after a long day, this is it.

Both leads are ambitious and seem to like each other equally. I think what’s particularly interesting about this one is that the male lead is clearly interested her early on in the story, and expresses those feelings in a cute manner (clearly blushing as opposed to slightly red ears or adamant denials). It is also interesting that both characters acknowledge feelings for the other person early on, the female lead explicitly stating her feelings (as the manga is from her perspective). What’s nice is that she also doesn’t turn into a sap because of this acknowledgment — she still thinks he’s petty sometimes and teases him. That is true of the male lead as well, though we haven’t really seen him talking about his feelings to someone, since the manga is not from his perspective.
