A boy named Saika has supernatural abilities to hear people's thoughts, only to be wound into the cutesy drama of Yamada, the friend he makes because his thoughts are simply so loud. Yamada starts to fall in love with him, thanks to their closeness and the ease with which Saika understands him. Mostly because he feels comfortable with the honesty of Yamada's thoughts, Saika falls for him in the end. ~Chapter 6

The mysterious Shiro, a lazy, artistic man who doesn't want to wear underwear and sells his summer fans traveling by cart in the city, encounters straight-laced local policeman Kojiro, who tells him he has to put underwear on. This is the first of many encounters between Kojiro and Shiro, who form a friendship as they start to unravel the deep mysteries of the cities, some of which are strange, horrific police cases and others that seem to only revolve around Shiro. Who is this man? And can their friendship survive his past? ~Chapter 45

A man and a woman find out the meaning of gender and the complexities of love after they switch private parts. ~ Chapter 21

So much depth and nuance in all of the characters, and manages to balance lighthearted elements of the plot with more serious and complex ones. My favorite chapter is probably the switch-around, where the author reimagines Snow as a dragon and Tungsten as a human that becomes King. It is such an accurate and well-thought out version of what would happen in that scenario. It just speaks to the level of depth the writer brought to this concept, how pain can sometimes intermix with love. Props to the author for this masterwork.
