Kurui Naku no wa Boku no Ban Beta
Sequel to: Kurui Naku
Niito-kun wa, Sekanshirazu.
I actually really liked this one! There is the whole gamut of omega verse tropes (where the uke is repeatedly vulnerable to assault, which is sad to say that is a trope, one that I hate), but I liked their personalities. I think the seme is truly vulnerable without disrespecting his partner, while the uke is kind of doing his own thing, dancing to the beat of his own drum. I don't think they would have ended up together in real life (minus the omega verse, with their personalities the same as they are), but I liked the healthy dynamic between the two of them.
There's No Way This Is Fate
It’s actually really interesting. The manga doesn’t take its own tropes seriously and pokes fun at them while dealing with the plot in a serious manner. The dynamics between the semes and the uke are fantastic, and they really make a great group of friends.
Double Fake
Omegaverse but boy is it so much better than that. The story is much more complicated than that, and has a very egalitarian tone -- something that I truly do appreciate in yaoi, and in omegaverses in particular. I think this one is particularly interesting because the way that it talks about omega-verse sexism (that's what it is at its core) is very appealing. I think looking at things from the different characters' points of view was interesting. It is the story of a cop and an informant, and within this arc they get involved in a particular case with a beta who is drug-dealing a "solution" to the problem of being chained to an alpha. ~Chapter 4
