What a masterpiece.

Ha ha ha, another mask manga for the pandemic of the century (discounting the 1918 Spanish Influenza). This story has nothing to do with a pandemic though. Sayama, regular guy with a penchant for wearing a mask, ends up in the nurse's office after some douchebag (read: the main romantic lead) falls hard (literally, not figuratively) on Sayama and doesn't even apologize properly. Therein lies the set-up for the romance, and our mask-wearing hero is pursued. Update: Sadism, weird, creepy...Saikawa's got some issues... Update on update: Like, I understand why you've got the hots for him (bc he's a good kisser and smexy and whatever) but the feels? I don't get it brah... ~Chapter 7

This premise had the potential of being interesting, but sadly failed due to the insistence on sticking to the rigid script of seme - uke dynamics, once the seme (or the middle ‘seme’) decided to bottom at the beginning of the manga. Boooooo

This is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve read. Timeless, warm, filled with characters who love each other but have insecurities and the fragile feeling of what will become of your relationship once you change it. Hayakawa Nojiko isn’t one of my favorite authors, but she really nailed it this time. The watercolors are beautiful, and the effects of the paneling that shifts into metaphor and foreshadowing are fantastic and retain a sense of depth. Perfect for a day when you’re wishing to immerse yourself in something beautiful.

Two friends often perform physical acts on each other, but their relationship isn't very clear. The seme doesn't understand how he feels, he only knows that he wants to be with his best friend like this forever (and has no interest having this type of relationship with everybody and anybody else...)

In this particular manga, the main character and his rival, aka Mr. Student Council President, end up together after a bizarre set of circumstances has him roped into pulling a prank on the Student Council President (leaving a confession note on his table) and the Student Council President catching him in the act and kissing him as a result. The very odd thing about this one is that there is a much darker element than exists on the surface -- indeed, the student council president set up the entire thing, so that the main character would end up confessing to him (by blackmailing his friend to bet him to do that). When the main character finds out it's a lie, he ends up going along with it for the egoistic reason of trying to 'bring him down.' The student council president is more than a little shady and a whole lot of bad. ~Chapter 13

By the author of Three Men, One Chinchilla, which makes sense. It has the same vibe in a strange way. New kid in high school has some strange things going on -- he doesn't like to leave with anyone, doesn't want to go home with anyone, doesn't want to hang out with anyone after class -- but all aside from that, he's pretty normal. The main character wants to figure this person out, after they have a meet-cute moment with a calico cat (where their initial interaction is great, but then sours for some odd, unknown reason) before they meet at school. The slightly shady new kid thinks that the other kid is super weird, but doesn't hate him. The other kid (the mc) doesn't have any social oddities, other than the fact that he has a bit of a loose filter (and says all the things in his mind (to some degree)). He wants to get to know the shady new kid, and their vibes are fantastic even though it's only chapter 2... ~Chapter 2

Main character is great, but why is everyone a psychopath at this school? Really so confused, but I'm loving the fact that the main character is extremely empathic as well as tough. Edit: I'm not sure why she keeps lying to her billion-won friend, even though things could get serious and she'll need her friends now more than ever. Shiru, hottie of the year, makes a bet with her childhood friends that she could pass for a guy throughout high school. For a billion won, because one of her childhood friends is as rich as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg put together. She and her billion-won betting childhood friend transfer to her other childhood friend's school, but there are some people out to get her -- how will things end up? Seme is dumb, uke is for the win over here. The seme tried to throw away their relationship after half-heartedly getting into a physical contract with the uke, but the uke stuck to his wants and the strength of his desire. He was both such an open character as well as a person who knew what he wanted unlike the dumb seme. The seme could have been a nice person, and I understand why they got together, but he's a coward. The uke is pure gold, (perhaps a pun intended?) and really the strength and rock of the relationship. Honestly, the seme needs to work on himself to really be with someone as mature as the uke. That guy's too good for you and your cowardly moves, seme. Summary: Mc doesn't want to be surrounded by girls, given his background of having his mom and sister (both are sweethearts) and the reality of 'carnivorous' women who he (as a hottie) has grown up around his entire adolescent life. He decides to go to an all male high school, where he hits it off with one of the freshman (the tendon to his boke -- they become a duo basically the first day of school). This kid is surprised when the mc doesn't really understand sex -- or specifically fapping, or porn/sexuality/hyper-sexualized culture that many boys are a part of. Mc's dad is away and didn't teach him about any of this stuff, and so that friend, taking advantage of the lack of knowledge the mc has, invites him to his room. He ends up jerking him off, and that's the start of their physical relationship. Mc is still confused as to what's normal regarding sexuality between people, and starts to realize that perhaps their relationship isn't so normal in the eyes of society. Friend becomes a chicken and starts to cruelly reject the mc at every turn, until the mc tricks him into talking and then forcibly confronts said chicken friend's true feelings. ~ Chapter 6 (extra)
