TO MY STAR
We'll see where this goes. Eun Byul (byul, which means star, hence 'to my star (to my byul)') is a college business student with a shady past (with regards to her aunt) and is recognized by someone who she hasn't seen for ten years, a man named Lim Suho, another college business major. She doesn't really like him, but she still notices him. On the other hand, he says she's not that important, but clearly could recognize her when he was both A) super drunk B) a long-lost friend (he hadn't seen her in ten years or so). What is going on between them, and who is the new girl in chapter 6? And why does Eun Byul fear/hate her aunt so much? ~Chapter 6
Form of Sympathy
Look, I only like Kwon Yuri because of For Your Love, but WHAT IS WITH THIS UTTER CRAP. That's just a statement, it's not even a question at this point because he is completely different from who I remember in For Your Love. It's only been two years since the end of the last manga and the start of this manga, and, although Kwon Yuri has the same level of sarcasm/deadpan not-humor humor, he has this level of anger that is just not there in 'For Your Love.' It makes sense from the author's point of view -- I doubt that this manga was made until the end of the last one, and the author was like, 'well, what if Kwon Yuri was in an unrequited love himself? What if he was in love with his sister? How would that story play out, with this teacher who he has chemistry with?' What that forgets is how relatively easy-going Kwon Yuri was in 'For Your Love,' and imbues him with a level of deep anger that changes him into a completely different person. It's a different person, with different character dynamics that have surface similarities to each other, from the Kwon Yuri of For Your Love to that of the one in Form of Sympathy. Just no. It makes him abusive in this situation -- (or more accurately, he chooses to be abusive in this situation) and doesn't give him any redeeming qualities. Had I not read For Your Love and had a sense of recognition/familiarity and attachment to Kwon Yuri, I would not have stuck with this manga. Even right now I'm on the fence about it. Poor teacher. He DOES NOT deserve to be treated so badly. Edit: Literally why am I reading this manga. Like why am I doing this to myself? They have sex (chapter 14) -- this poor guy, with this freaking abusive...I'm practically cursing him out in my head -- literally Kwon Yuri, why can't you go back into my memory as a nice person. Why. Just why. ~Chapter 14
Too Close
LiTian Yu and Xu Ze have a contentious relationship, only to become something more when they start to spend time with each other. They have an interesting relationship, but then it all falls apart when LiTian Yu moves out of the country their junior and senior years... Fast forward 5 years in college, and Li Tian Yu has come back to become a doctor and fix their friendship (finding the former love interest by accident) while Xu Ze is the basketball coach/captain at One University's basketball program. They have to deal with the obstacles that come next... I really enjoyed seeing LiTian Yu and Xu Ze during the years they were in high school...I'm not so sure about how this is going to go now they are in college...The relationship could fall into more typical tropes familiar to the yaoi world, which I would be sad about... ~Chapter 58
Double-faced Anchor
The two main characters are fans of each other in a different sphere. Both are gamers and models: one is a famous model who is a fanboy of the avatar 'Wind-God,' who happens to be a model at his company; the other is a minor model whose server is famous on the internet and is a fanboy of the famous model at his company. ~ Chapter 1
