art is pretty but there is barely any chemistry and so many stupid misunderstandings, the only likeable character is the little brother

jaewon is asked to marry his old crush duke javier, who seems to have no interest in him and constantly sends mixed signals. i thought itd be good considering the cover art but looks can be deceiving-- this story cannot follow a comprehensible structure and jumped all over the place, character portrayal and motivations were so odd and that ending??? wtf was that switch up to 'i actually loved you all along?' shame such pretty art got wasted on nonsense plot.

despite being reincarnated, satae still has the traumatizing memories of his past life and after encountering kwon chaheon, who looks just like his past life abuser emperor narye, satae decides to avoid him at all costs to prevent a repeat of the past. honestly as of right now it looks pretty run of the mill reincarnation with a scum love interest and abuse plotline, reminiscent of erha. rather than the past life, im more interested in seeing how the mc attempts to avoid chaheon.

emperor constantly harasses terrified eunuch in order to get his attention art is gorgeous as per shin yuris style, but woow was the emperor unbearable, a man child to the 100th degree what a loser. i will admit though that the story was pretty funny at points and that i wish we got the empress's story instead.

this was one was surprisingly sweet, not what i expected from the cover image but still well done nonetheless!
