Heaven's Trap

Complete | Machida Tomato | 2000 released

bro really had a shrine of photos and broke into mcs room in order to install a secret camera... made me feel bad at first but it kind of neutralized itself out towards the end where mc does weird shit as well, i guess i liked the fact that there was at least a semblance of equal ground and understanding than mindless manipulation. art was really nice though i think the story needed a bit more fleshing out.

Two in Six Billion

Complete | Denzou | 2022 released

hmm it gives me mixed feelings-- on the one hand i can acknowledge how awful the situation is for both parties and how disturbing this was, on the other hand the morbid fascination and appreciation for the storytelling also pushes through. great art though, despite all the unsettling themes & ending.

dunno what happened at all!

Fetish

Complete | fujiwara kaoru | 2000 released

intriguing short stories that i actually enjoyed a lot if only for the visual aesthetics of the work-- disturbing surely but surprisingly fulfilling

Fuan No Tane

Complete | Nakayama Masaaki | 2004 released

i feel like this was adequately creepy with pretty good art, just the fact that there was a lot of fluff and the stories cut off too early!

My Way With You

Complete | Upi | 2019 released

art and propositions are so consistent, not a single panel is wonky. author was able to tell a nuanced, fleshed out narrative in a fraction of the time of other manhwas. the flow was nice and didn't feel like it stagnated at any point, and despite the fact that ppl dont come here to read realism, this was grounded in reality in a way that felt both comforting and appropriate.

Monster In The Mist

Complete | Do Hae- neul, Pong, and Derme | 2000 released

i have a lot to say about this but not enough words-- i feel like a lot of ppl hate myung woon and, lowkey same, but i think his character in and of itself was interesting in an antihero kind of way, balancing out doha's good naturedness. jihyuk was of course a favorite and i liked him the most, and i also enjoyed the word building/slowburn of this one. havent felt so full after reading a full length manhwa in a while.
