Girls Only.
anthology pertaining to female sexuality pretty unique and entertaining, the first story was my favorite. loved the red ink color choice.
Nineteen Over
noah returns to his former workplace to return a priceless item he stole, only to be confronted by the kid he once taught, a now-grown henry. art is really nice and i like the atmosphere created by it. story was pretty interesting too, albeit a bit anticlimactic at the very end. that all being said, the teacher-student dynamic and the fact that noah still sees henry as a kid got me feeling quite icky, esp when noah's 'first love' was child henry.
Love Magnet
love for yui is like a soaked umbrella after a rain storm damn this was good; not only because this is the best art ive seen for a yuri manga thus far, but it was also a contemplative and intriguing read.
Talk Dirty to Me
yeonhwa debuts in an idol duo with the ceo's daughter insoo, and the two begin a dom/sub fwb relationship its interesting so far, im getting the impression that yeonhwa likes to dom specifically because it gives her superiority over the ceo's daughter, this is def gonna be twisted but i hope that eventually genuine feelings arise between them rather than just this power imbalance.
The Partnership Ends Today
jaeho and yeonjoo are coworkers as well as fwbs, their feelings start to come out once they realize that their business relationship will end soon. ugh, they are so cute for what??? it was short, simple and sweet but i ended up enjoying it a lot, i liked seeing how their personalities both clashed and suited each other. need to find more josei works like this, with mature characters and good communication.
Outcasts Bound by Fate
this wouldve been flawless if ch1 wasn't nearly entirely non-con. i liked that ml does acknowledge his wrongdoing in the beginning but it was saddening to read his repeated attempts. aside from all that, i liked the trope of found family among 'freaks' and the way th two were able to open up to eachother on an intimate level.
Samayou Bitch ha Koi wo shiru
idk if its because of the kind of mental state i was in, but despite by abhorrence towards cheaters & cheating participants (especially someone who goes after taken men), i was really emotional while reading this and enjoyed it a lot. soichis actions were truly deplorable, and trauma cant excuse that, but it did a good job explaining his psychology and low self esteem. i did like how he reflected and tried to do better for himself, ik its the bare minimum but thats my bae im so proud of him. while i feel like souichis feeling development was a bit hasty, im happy the two sorted things out.
Meruhen na Otoko tachi
another 'cliche-but-i-loved-it,' idk this was just serotonin for my heart even if some aspects were overly cheesy. felt like the angst development was over the top and ended too quickly, and the whole 'straight men will leave you' kinda thing (cause duh?) but this pair was so cute i was really rooting for them!
Samurai for the White Wolf
im not really into beastman stuff but i enjoyed this, i feel like the initial chapters had my expectations way too high (the impression of an action packed, intricate story type manga) and yes, it was less than that and followed the more conventional fairytale tropes. nevertheless, i found the expression of emotion and the ending to be satisfactory.
