My Beast Son's in Heat
man mates with his adoptive beast son who doesnt want anyone else batshit, thats all i gotta say.
My Purrfect Boss!
sunwoo finds out that his boss can turn into a cat, starts a relationship with him. cute but pretty forgettable in the realm of the genre. good for when you want to turn your brain off.
Gorani Jeon
bau, a lonely woodcutter comes across a deer beastman who he subsequently falls in love with. cute relationship cute baby
Bakemono no Hanayome
fox and wolf hybrids hinata and kyouya get married to establish peace between their tribes, and fall in love despite the stigma associated with being 'freaks' this was an interesting read that went beyond the romance plotline, i liked the addressing of racism and general discrimination towards those who are different. kyuouyas mindset was heartbreaking and im glad they ended up together after coming to terms with their differences.
Himekoi (MITSUYA Bond)
childhood best friends kanata and kuro perform a marriage ceremony, as per the tradition of their ancestors for the prosperity of their village. i loved nearly everything about it. i thought it would be similar to muri marriage given the premise, but it was completely different. i enjoyed the main story, and also enjoyed the fathers' story (though it did leave me with heartburn). i do like how they addressed kanatas consent to such a tradition and overall, this was such a nice read. only qualm that bumped this from a 5 to 4 star was the dubcon and numerous questions surrounding the mothers' fates.
Tsuki wa Michikake Kemono no Koi
izuki moves away from the city and into the mountains, and meets a lonely guardian spirit that refuses to be lonely any longer. was drawn in by the absolutely stunning cover but wow, did not expect to finish this on the verge of tears. art style is gorgeous, and minus the obligatory dub/noncon (not appreciated at all btw), this story progressed in a very melodramatic and heartfelt way. bittersweet ending but i choose to think theyre happy.
Samurai for the White Wolf
im not really into beastman stuff but i enjoyed this, i feel like the initial chapters had my expectations way too high (the impression of an action packed, intricate story type manga) and yes, it was less than that and followed the more conventional fairytale tropes. nevertheless, i found the expression of emotion and the ending to be satisfactory.
A Virile World
adoptive father trope again i have no other words
