Liebling!
taehoon's average life is thrown out of whack when leo, a knight from another world, magically transports to modern day. it was pretty good from an art & plot aspect at the beginning, but i had to drop it after all of the graphic rape, i just couldnt continue. not likely to ever pick it back up despite the interesting storyline.
Five years apart
anthology about various couples with age gap ridiculous in all sense of the word and real rough art at some points
Eat Me Up, My Husband
honestly just pwp, great art but they honestly didn't need to make a big emphasis on the relationship when ml was a child. I don't mind age gap relationships but when you focus so much on their previous dynamic it does start to feel predatory.
Wolf Woebegone
an elevator operator, who has a track record of attracting anyone that enters, meets a girl that barely gives her a glance. it was funny, cute and the art was good, but i am giving a major side eye to the height difference, lolita clothing and the fact that she was shopping at a toy store of all places...
Perfect Propose
overworked office worker hiro takes in his childhood friend kai, who needs a place to stay and also has a crush on him. i have read so many mangas where it is just half sex scenes half background plot, so i really like the pacing of this manga-- where it focuses on hiros struggles, his relationship with kai and then finally a bed scene, that felt more rewarding than if theyd started with immediate sex. love the art style and narration, though i wish there was more scenes with the main cp to show how hiros natural feeling progression came to be.
DOGMA(Akabeko)
an eldest son imprisons and manipulates the father that never cared for him in his own form of obsessive love, after the death of his brother and mother. one of akabekos darker works, yes its really fucked up and weird but pretty compelling from a psychological/horror perspective, on top of great art there was interesting insight into topics like child neglect, fanaticism, manipulation, etc.
Nocturnal Flight
hard to read, though realistic in execution, applause to the author cause i think they captured the long lasting trauma and instability caused by csa well. sensei can go rot in hell.
Ii Ko ni Dekitara Hometekure
gotta say, of all kuroi's works, this was probably the weakest and least compelling to me. i dont know if its just because i am not used to subverse (ive never read one before this) so the inherent power imbalance is throwing me off, but the blackmail aspect turned me off from ml from the beginning, and he didnt really redeem himself after, it was more just mc giving in. just kind of an odd dynamic.
Alpha no Chouinshiki
wow, i dont think ive been more disappointed in a manga in a while. gorgeous art and cover drew me in and the ml being a dilf piqued my interest, but things went downhill very quickly and very tragically. legrand is basically just a child predator and groomer, who ended up getting to marry his victim and impregnating him. didnt feel like love between 'mates' at all, instead just felt like a weird obsession.
