Reading this in 2025 and I genuinely cannot comprehend how everything went to shit rq from sungho dealing with a harsh first relationship break-up to raping and kidnapping and ruining any chance he had at a decent life. Seeing both of their perspectives was great, it gave you time to understand how both of the main characters dealt with their family situations even if it wasn't explicitly showed especially on sungho's part. But how this whole mess came to be and the way things unfolded didn't sit right with me, because it felt like Sungho's overall mental state wasn't explained in a way you would understand why he would take things this far. But it was definitely worth re-reading it as someone who read this at a really young age to give myself a better perspective.
