I read it, I understood it, but I can't figure out how I feel about it.

Lighthearted read

Cozy like a warm cup of coffee on a rainy day

That gecko scene had me internally screaming. If that happened to me in real life I would be hysterical. This short manga somehow manages to put cute fluffy romance with a bit or angst, some very light comedy, and then a bit of smut all in its few chapters. Although this is overall a light-hearted romance, I mostly remember it for its angst bit because it's written so well. That feeling of going from being on cloud nine thinking you might have a chance at love, before suddenly plummetting into a pit of disappointment and heartbreak when you realize you were mistaken all along. I like angst in small doses and this is just the right amount. Of course, afterwards you're treated to a lot of fluff so it's all gucci.

The last couple is the reason I am rating this 5 stars.

This manga is one of the reasons why the name Natsume Isaku is burned into my brain, it's one of the few mangaka names I know and can identify their work anywhere at first glance. This is a masterpiece such a wonderful comforting read. I read this from time to time when I want to feel better or comforted.
