I love this, the art is beautiful and has is a real badass female lead! She makes me swoon (︶ω︶) Melissa’s expressions are amazing, completely different form the cute, innocent type we see so often on shoujo — even so, the novel’s FL (Yuri) is also likable, despite being the outwardly ‘white lotus’ type. The swearing, the bloodthirsty aura, learning swordsmanship... our MC ain’t taking shit from anyone! Spoilers: Yuri knows she is the ‘Female Lead’ and hears a voice that tells her she must be ‘the rescued damsel in distress’. Just a doll. Seeing Melissa, who can break her ‘role’, she feels hope. CH 65! Maybe Melissa x Nine will truly begin?! (Spoiler: they do get married!)

Ch 40 (not in a hurry to read since some translations are awful) I love this! Roxanna, the MC, truly acts like a villain and will do anything to make sure her plans are fulfilled. She drinks poison and bleeds to feed her carnivorous and hallucinogenic butterflies. Some other characters: • Cassis, the ML, was captured by her family. She ‘protected’ him as her toy and helped him escape and faked his death. He has healing powers, like his sister. • Dion, one of Roxanne’s half-brothers. He is their father’s favorite and the one who killed her older brother when they were younger. She hates him, but he seems to be obsessed with her (loves her?). • Jeremy, one of Roxanne’s younger half-brothers. He is very puppy-like towards her, but with others he tends to be cruel and aggressive.

Rosaline, the MC, reincarnated into the story of a novel as an extra character. She becomes the the tyrannical emperor’s secretary. They really have some chemistry, but even after working for him for 5 years there’s been almost no progress. The ML clearly likes her and cares for her, so cute! Even if he’s cold :P Meanwhile, the protagonist of the novel is also someone who reincarnated. Also, it is her second time as the FL; the first time, she did end up in the Emperor, but she was a huge b*tch and now wants to try again (still a b*tch).

Ch 50 The MC, Alice, is quite fiery and not afraid to threaten someone. She matches well with the ML, Ares (bamf who triumphs at war bla bla, the usual). They met in a one-night stand lol She is the half sister of the Emperor (so far 11y/o), but doesn’t have much power since she isn’t actually of royal blood. The ML likes her but she has refused him, she’s his weapons advisor (she has a good eye for weapons). The enemy so far is the Princess (the other actually royal one) who is a bitch and in love with Ares.
